What is successful politics? In fact, there is only one evaluation standard, to put it bluntly. As long as it is successful at that time, it is successful politics. History is originally about heroes based on success or failure. There is a simple reason. History is created by success again and again. Therefore, the evaluation of politicians is often simple: the winner is a politician and the loser is a politician. The so-called winner is a minister, and the loser is a bandit. The so-called "the thief who steals the hook punishes the thief who steals the country" and "the door to benevolence and righteousness" is not entirely nonsense. But artists are different. Art does not depend on temporary success. Even the success at that time often indicates the superficiality of some arts to some extent, and the real artistic value needs to be tested by history. As we all know, if art is attached to politics, it is very easy to achieve so-called "success", but this short-lived "success" is the root of rapid decay. So, so are artists. Heroes can never be judged by their current success or failure. Real artists are formed in a long historical process. Obviously, politicians and artists cannot be confused with each other.
However, due to China's specific national conditions, some artistic people were teased by fate and forced into politics. So it made a lot of jokes and anecdotes, more sadness and tragedy.
We only know how to scold feudal emperors. In fact, many people are pushed to the throne by fate, but they don't want to be emperors. They would rather be artists or even free ordinary people.
The vast majority of emperors in China were promoted to the throne because of the "fate" relationship of blood, but as far as personal endowment is concerned, they are not necessarily suitable to be emperors. Therefore. They are not eliminated naturally, and their quality is lost. In this way, China's historical mechanism has created countless bad kings in batches.
However, such a mechanism may create an emperor-level artist. Artists have a lot to do with natural endowments. If you can't be a politician, you may become an artist under good educational conditions. There are many imperial artists in China!
For example, Chen Houzhu, the last emperor in the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, was a natural musician, and his songs Yushu and Flowers in the Back Garden were very popular at that time. There was a poem in the Tang Dynasty that said, "Businessmen and women don't know how to hate their country, but they still sing" backyard flowers "to cross the river." Later generations even regarded Chen Houzhu's songs as the voice of national subjugation. Song Huizong in the Northern Song Dynasty was not an emperor, but a talented painter. Under his creation and influence, the Palace Painting Academy has formed a unique style school in the history of China painting, which is faithful to details and emphasizes poetic scenery. His masterpiece Listening to the Qin has profound artistic attainments. In his personal life, he is also rich in "the temperament of an artist". He wandered around looking for "wild interests" and got close to Li Shishi, a famous prostitute at that time, leaving three thousand beauties in the harem.
In the history of China, there are many such emperors and artists, such as Emperor Hancheng, Emperor Liang Yuan, Yang Di and Song Ningzong.
However, it must be pointed out that, like Cao Cao, Wei Wudi wrote "Looking at the East Sea from afar" and "An old horse rides high and aims at a thousand miles", and Liu Bang, the Emperor Gaozu, also wrote "The wind blows and clouds fly, Wei Jiahai returns to his hometown and settles down." They are not artists, because their starting point for writing such poems is not art, but to express their construction.
Emperors and artists are all devoted to art, and of course they have no time to care about politics. Their politics will only become more and more corrupt, and emperors and artists will gradually become bad kings. It's natural. In fact, this is the superficial reason, and the deep reason is that politics is rational behavior and art is emotional expression. A person who is completely immersed in emotion is still crazy in the eyes of ordinary people, let alone put him on the court. Therefore, letting an artistic person sit on the court and do things that need to be handled with cold rationality in an orderly way can only be done badly, but can't be done well, and a part of the bad king in China's history has thus emerged.
Li Houzhu in the Southern Tang Dynasty in the Five Dynasties is an excellent example. In the whole history of China literature, he was a first-rate poet and made great contributions to the development of China's Ci. But writing lyrics can't help him run the country well, it can only make his country corrupt day by day. When the army of the Northern Song Dynasty entered Beijing, he was still drinking and writing poems. These sentimental poems can only move talented people and beautiful women, but they can't scare away millions of troops, so he has to be a prisoner. It is really called "the unfortunate poet of the country is lucky." The monarch of national subjugation wrote the experience of national subjugation in a sad style, which made him a real great poet and established his position in the history of China literature. But his poems not only destroyed the country, but also allegedly harmed himself.
Li Yu's fame and fortune comes from the inheritance of Wenzu. He is good at painting and calligraphy, but he is not interested in dealing with political affairs, and he is full of compromises with the increasingly powerful Northern Song regime. More than ten years after the establishment of the Northern Song Dynasty, the Southern Tang Dynasty perished, and Li Yu was demoted to Bianjing. When leaving Beijing, Li Houzhu wrote a sentence: "The most important thing is to hastily resign from Temple Day, and the teaching workshop also played a farewell song and cried to Gong E."
Later, Su Dongpo, a great writer in the Song Dynasty, commented: After the country perished, Li Houzhu should first think that he had lost the inheritance created by his ancestors, and should go to the ancestral temple to cry bitterly and apologize to the people. But he didn't do it at all. Instead, he went to listen to "Don't Leave" played by musicians in the teaching workshop, and regretted that he never had the opportunity to play with Gong E's colorful girls again. With such a monarch, it is strange that the Southern Tang Dynasty will not die!
However, Su Shi demands artists by the standards of politicians here. A contemporary great man also said when exhorting a celebrity: "Too many complaints will hinder heartbroken, and it is desirable to be open-minded." In fact, no celebrity or politician is "looking around" or "looking around". Complaining is the character of celebrities, and looking around the world is the temperament of politicians. These are two different personalities, each of which plays an irreplaceable role.
Politicians are mostly robbers wearing crowns, and artists are the real uncrowned kings. However, people look at the golden tongue in front of them, who can take care of the long term? Only know the success or failure of rise and fall, how to manage the right and wrong behind it. However, as long as the above reasons are taken into account, you should probably be an artist or a scholar.
Talent is not only talent, but also the mood of life. The mood of life mainly comes from nature, and the situation after tomorrow is hard to change. People are born noble, but they have already chosen people. Having said that, I realized that the above truth is wrong. Facts have proved that real politicians and real artists are related in the inner details of life. Isn't it our ideal politics to deal with politics with poetic cultural ideals? It is Tang Yao's Yu Shun-style ideal that unites our nation, making it go through hardships without being destroyed and developing endlessly to this day!
