First of all, this is not a good habit for all children. In fact, this kind of education can also be seen in daily life, that is, these behaviors of experimental classes are separated in schools. Then the school has a lot of good resources, which will favor the children in the experimental class and let them receive better education. To some extent, this is not a very fair education, and even makes other children feel psychologically unbalanced, because everyone receives the same education in the same school, but their learning progress or learning resources will be better.
Our school used to have such a system, so in our class, some people are also very unbalanced, thinking that they can achieve such learning ability, but in ordinary classes. Therefore, this is not a good practice for all children. Perhaps schools want children to get better resources, but they should also provide them to everyone equally.
Second, it can make children have certain competitiveness. This kind of merit-based education can actually make children have certain learning competitiveness. Because some children don't want to stay in regular classes, they will redouble their efforts and then enter better classes and get better resources. But some children may be willing to be ordinary, or think this way is unreasonable, so they fight in their own way. So this way can't make all children learn well, and naturally it's not a good way for everyone. For some capable children and ambitious children, this way can make them work harder.
Third, the learning problem cannot be solved by merit-based education. Some people may think that merit-based education can make children get better education, and it is a good way to separate different children and carry out different education. But in fact, children's learning problems cannot be solved by merit-based education alone. On the contrary, if different children can study together, they can find a common direction of efforts, that is to say, they can learn from each other. Learning always takes place in an environment, which constantly influences each other, even in the Belt and Road Initiative.
If children want to learn well, they need all-round efforts, that is to say, schools need to find better ways, and parents need to find a connection point with their children, so that children can study hard and work hard in the way of parents.
