Zhanjiang Teachers College is a provincial-level normal college in Guangdong Province, located in Zhanjiang, the southernmost coastal city of Chinese mainland. Its predecessor can be traced back to Leiyang Academy founded by 1636. Normal education began in 1904, and 1978 was changed to Leizhou Normal College, and 199 1 was upgraded to Zhanjiang Normal College. So far, tens of thousands of graduates have been trained.
