Mohist Education in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period
At the end of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, it was called "outstanding learning" with Confucian private learning. Most Mohist members come from the lower classes, and some of them are directly engaged in productive labor. Mozi, the founder of Mohism, was educated by Confucianism in his early years and became a doctor in the Song Dynasty. He has been to Qi in the north and Wei in the west, and has been to Chu twice. Wherever I go, I have students with me. After Mozi's death, Mohism was divided into three schools: Xiangri Chi, Xiangfu and Deng Ling. There are traces of Mohist private school disciples in South, North and West Qin countries. Mohist private school is a strictly disciplined political group and school. "There are many warriors under Mozi" (Lu Jia: "New Words"), "Anyone who can go through fire and water, jump over the blade and not stand" ("Huai Nanzi? Thai training "). Mohist private schools can send students to be officials, but they can't violate the Mohist tenet of "universal love" and "non-attack", otherwise they will recall students at any time. Mohist private schools require students to have the spirit of hard work, hard work, obedience and self-sacrifice. Zhuangzi greatly appreciated this. He said: "Later generations of ink painters, mostly dressed in brown clothes, worked day and night, taking self-suffering as the extreme" ("Zhuangzi? The world "). The opposition Mencius also had to admit that Mohist private school "sticks to the heel and benefits the world" ("Mencius? Dedication. Mohist private schools mainly focus on productive labor and scientific and technological knowledge, and require students to participate in actual productive labor (see Mohist educational thought).
