Comenius lived in a historical period of social unrest, sectarian opposition and constant war. Throughout his life, he integrated education with the cause of national independence and fought for it. Although his educational thought is idealistic, the educational thought he advocated is far-sighted. Although his educational thought has not been fully understood and adopted by his contemporaries and successors, there is no doubt that his educational theory and practice have made a comprehensive contribution to education. His educational thought laid the foundation of modern bourgeois education theory system and had a wide and far-reaching influence on school education in the future. Especially after the middle of19th century, in the wave of universal education in capitalist countries, Comenius' educational thought once again attracted people's attention, and was highly praised through the propaganda of German educators, which won him his due position in the history of education. Some people say that he is "the real founder of educational science", a symbolic figure in the history of education, the last educator in European feudal society and the first educator in the new bourgeois period.
