Overview of Xinjiang Normal University Conservatory of Music
The Conservatory of Music of Xinjiang Normal University was founded in June 2000, and its predecessor was the Music Department of Xinjiang Normal University, which was founded in June 2000. Through the efforts of several generations, the college has made all-round progress in various undertakings. At present, it has developed into an important music art education and research base integrating teaching, research, creation and communication in the field of higher education in Xinjiang, which has delivered thousands of art education and performance talents to the society and made due contributions to the development and prosperity of art education in China, especially in Xinjiang.

The Conservatory of Music of Xinjiang Normal University is the only master's authorized unit of music major in colleges and universities in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Musicology major is the construction point of undergraduate major in the Ministry of Education, and the teaching team of musicology curriculum group is a national teaching team. The college consists of music education department, music performance department, dance education department and university music teaching and research department. The college has Yang Hongnian Chorus Art Research Center, Diribar Vocal Art Research Center, Muqam Art Research Center, Xinjiang Xinshi Art Practice Co., Ltd. and Xinjiang Xinshi Art Training Center. At present, there are 78 faculty members, including 5 professors, 22 associate professors and more than 0 master students 1 100. There are three orchestras in the College: Muqam, Dombrat and Chinese Folk Music, among which Muqam Orchestra and Dombrat Orchestra have won many awards in the highest national competitions.
