The trick of sleeping
When you end a busy day and go to bed at night, your posture should be the same as that of the Buddha when he was in nirvana: sleep on the right side, press your right hand under your right cheek, and lay your left hand flat on your left leg. Sleeping in this horizontal posture, even if you suddenly die, you will not fall into bad interest.

Auspicious sleeping position conforms to the medically correct sleeping position. Modern medicine believes that the correct sleeping position should be lying on the right side with legs slightly bent. In this way, the heart is high and not oppressed; Low liver position and good blood supply are beneficial to metabolism; Food in the stomach is pushed to the duodenum by gravity, which can promote digestion and absorption. At the same time, the whole body is in a relaxed state, breathing evenly, the heartbeat slows down, and the brain, heart, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, muscles and bones are fully rested and supplied with oxygen.

In Buddhism, according to relevant records, there are four kinds of merits for auspicious lying:

First, the body will not produce inappropriate thoughts and behaviors;

Second, just like the lion, the king of beasts, he will not lose his right knowledge and mindfulness;

Third, you will not fall into deep drowsiness, and you can always be alert;

Fourth, don't have nightmares, but often have auspicious dreams.

If we see someone dying, we should also persuade them to put it in this horizontal position. If they have the ability to visualize, let them observe compassion and change themselves through breathing; Even if you don't have the ability to face death horizontally, even if your karma is deep and your sin is great, you won't fall into evil interest.

Every day before going to bed, there are four things to pay attention to, besides the auspicious position:

First, mindfulness: from the beginning to the end of sleep, always attach your heart to the pillar of good law. The Dragon Dream Bodhisattva said, "Sleep well and wake up safely. Peace of mind, dreams of happiness. 」

Before, when I was in primary school, I lived in an old Lama's house. Every day after dinner, he puts on his cassock and blows out the oil lamp. He kept saying "Hum, Manibe is beautiful, Hum, Manibe is beautiful ...", and gradually fell asleep, and his voice was gone.

When I woke up the next morning, his voice was so muddy that I couldn't hear it clearly. Later, slowly, I heard him saying in Chinese characters: "Om Banzasado Samaya, Manu Ba Laha, Banzado Dinoteba, Diqiazhe Jumeibawa ..." This habit never stopped until breakfast.

These childhood educations have a great influence on my life. Although I am not so diligent, I always think it is very necessary and important.

Second, I just want to: fall asleep with correct knowledge and try not to have some troubles.

Third, bright thinking: before going to bed, visualize Buddha and Bodhisattva such as Sakyamuni Buddha or Amitabha Buddha, illuminate the surroundings, and fall asleep in this state. Even if you can't do this, you should kowtow three times before going to bed. It's best not to forget this.

In addition, you should also bring a Buddha statue or Thangka when you go out. At the same time, it is best to watch Buddha every day, even if you can't practice any Buddhism, it is also a kind of practice to put the statues of Sakyamuni Buddha and Amitabha Buddha in front of you, have a look, repent well and recite the scriptures well. Anyone can do this exercise. If it can be done for a long time, the benefits can't be expressed.

Fourth, get up early and think: don't think before going to bed: "Tomorrow is Sunday, and it doesn't matter if you sleep in the afternoon. If you really think about it, you will probably sleep until the next afternoon. If you think "you should get up early tomorrow" before going to bed, your inner strength is incredible, and you can definitely get up early.

These tricks are of great help to adjust the mentality. You must practice often!
