The earthquake that occurred at the junction of Yunnan and Guizhou on the 7th caused the school building of Yunluo Primary School in developed village of Jiaokui Town, Miao Village, Yiliang to collapse, 15 students escaped and 7 people were buried. After being rescued by the villagers, four injured students were rushed to Yiliang County People's Hospital for treatment, and two of them were seriously injured.

As of press time, the earthquake killed three students in Yiliang County and injured 18 students and 2 teachers.

Jong Li, director of the Education Bureau of Yiliang County, said that after the earthquake, all the students in the county stopped classes, all the teachers devoted themselves to the earthquake relief work, and quickly carried out the general survey of students.

Wang Jianying, deputy director of Yunnan Education Department, who directed earthquake relief at Mao Ping Middle School in Luozehe Town, the epicenter, told the reporter that none of the schools carrying out the "School Safety Project in Yunnan Province" collapsed, but there were cracks and damages. After the earthquake disaster investigation is completed and the evaluation team evaluates it, classes will be resumed.

Roads in the disaster area rushed through the earthquake zone, and Yiliang County was completely suspended.

According to CCTV, the road leading to Luozehe Town, the epicenter of the earthquake, has been opened in Yiliang County, Yunnan Province. Up to now, the rescue forces of the fire brigade have searched 90% of the affected areas. Due to steep mountains and blocked roads, some people can't reach safe areas.
