On the basis of the document Zhongfa [2020] No.36 issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, which clearly requires "strictly implementing the rigid requirements of school physical education curriculum" and "striving to ensure that students' physical activity time in and out of school reaches 1 hour every day", the Beijing Municipal Education Commission put forward more specific requirements in the action plan.
Including encouraging schools to set up 1 physical education class every day in the basic education stage, 5 physical education class sessions per week in the primary school stage, 4-5 physical education class sessions per week in the junior high school stage and 3-5 physical education class sessions per week in the senior high school stage, and it is not allowed to occupy physical education class in any form.
