Educational categories of American higher education system
The education provided by American higher education system includes national treatment and non-national treatment, and the latter is international students. There are differences between the two in enrollment quota and charging standard.

Public and private institutions

American citizens enjoy the standards of public and private institutions for their own residents (nationality owners and green card holders), and the overall treatment is better than that of international students.

International student status

If Chinese children in the United States need China citizenship, they can apply for permanent residence status (green card) after choosing China citizenship (China Nationality Law stipulates that dual citizenship is not recognized, so they will give up American citizenship at the same time), so that they can continue to maintain the treatment of American residents and do not have to compete for educational resources like international students.
