How does Mensa join?
The English name of MENSA is Mensa, which means "round table" in Latin. Mensa, taken from the round table, means that people can sit together on an equal footing, provided, of course, that their IQ is similar. Mensa is the name of the world's top IQ club. It was founded in Oxford, England on 1946. Its founders are lawyer Roland Beril and scientist and lawyer Lance Waring. At that time, these two people who thought they were clever and abnormal had a whim and made up some difficult questions to test IQ, which was widely sought after. Excited, Beril and Lin Wei simply set up a club and called on people with high IQ to join. They plan to set up a club for smart people, so that participants' high IQ can be recognized, affirmed and constantly improved through challenging club activities, and share each other's success. Mensa has adhered to the principle of neutrality, non-politics and non-profit for many years, and it has not changed so far. Mensa International Headquarters and the club also organize some paid activities and some publishing activities, but all the income is used for the expansion and improvement of the club. All participants are not personally profitable.
