The National Security Law of the Port Area is the abbreviation of the Law of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Special Administrative Region on Safeguarding National Security, and it is an important legislative item formulated by the Decision of the National People's Congress on Establishing and Perfecting the Legal System and Law Enforcement Mechanism of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for Safeguarding National Security adopted by the 20th meeting of the 13th NPC Standing Committee. This law is a comprehensive law with substantive law, procedural law and organizational law.

Significance of establishment:

This draft law is an important legislative project to implement the spirit and requirements of the Decision of the National People's Congress on Establishing and Improving the Legal System and Law Enforcement Mechanism for Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region adopted by the Third Session of the 13th National People's Congress.
