Chaohu Huailin Middle School is located on the south bank of Chaohu Lake. Founded in 1958, it covers an area of 109 mu with a building area of 23,980 square meters. In June 2009, the school became a provincial model high school. In recent years, according to the planning idea of "greening, beautification, humanization and modernization", the school has built a characteristic garden community, built a cultural corridor, arranged portraits of celebrities, successively built first-class physical and chemical laboratories, biological observation rooms, biological specimen rooms, astronomical observation platforms, equipped with multimedia classrooms, language labs and microcomputer rooms, and added modern teaching AIDS such as teachers' electronic reading rooms and students' reading rooms. In addition, the school also allocated funds to build a student canteen with complete facilities and functions to mobilize all factors to optimize the educational environment.
The school has continuously increased investment in teaching infrastructure construction, and has successively built two teaching buildings, a science and education building, a comprehensive building, a 300-meter track playground and six standard basketball courts. It also has a first-class physical and chemical laboratory, a biological specimen room, an observatory, a multimedia classroom, a language lab, a microcomputer room, a teacher's electronic reading room, a student reading room, a student canteen and a student apartment, and an academic lecture hall that can accommodate more than 1000 students. All classes in the school are equipped with multimedia teaching equipment, joined the national famous college entrance examination resource teaching network, and became the experimental school for the research of total effect learning scheme in primary and secondary schools of the Ministry of Education.
