Admit it. Lijiang Cultural Tourism College was established in 2002 and began to enroll students. It is the first batch of independent colleges with distinctive school-running characteristics confirmed by the Ministry of Education in 2004. After 20 years of construction and development, the school was approved by the Ministry of Education in February, 20021,and successfully transformed from an independent college into an independent undergraduate private college. It is one of the first two universities in Yunnan Province. In "2002 1 China Private Colleges and Universities Ranking", Lijiang Institute of Culture and Tourism ranks 57th in China and1in Yunnan Province, ranking among the first-class private colleges and universities in China.
