1. The theory of universal wisdom is the core of Comenius' educational thought. In his educational masterpiece "On Great Teaching", he begins with the clear meaning that "it expounds all the art of teaching all knowledge to everyone" and tries to realize the ideal of "all-intelligent education" and "all-intelligent school" through educational experiments.
2. Comenius also put forward many important teaching principles in The Great Teaching Theory, such as intuition principle, inspiration and guidance principle, ability principle, step by step principle, consolidation principle, teaching students in accordance with their aptitude principle and so on. These principles are still the basic principles that our teachers follow in teaching activities.
3. Another important contribution of Comenius is that in the history of education, he elaborated the class teaching system and related academic year system, school day system, examination and assessment system for the first time. Comenius was the first person who systematically expounded the class teaching system.
On the basis of "the light and warmth of the sun give everything" and "don't deal with any single thing, animal or tree alone", he demonstrated the necessity and feasibility of the class teaching system.
He believes that the class teaching system is a powerful means to motivate teachers and improve teaching efficiency. Comenius established its important position in the history of western educational thought with his outstanding contribution to educational theory.
Comenius absorbed the achievements of humanistic education since the Renaissance in Europe, reflected the educational requirements of the emerging bourgeoisie, summed up his long-term educational theory and practice, comprehensively and systematically discussed the bourgeois education problems, and laid the foundation for the bourgeois education theory in modern Europe.
