Reflections on Reading Deer and the Sea in Grade Four
I read a story, which was very instructive and made me understand a profound truth.

The story goes like this: a deer was stabbed blind in one eye in the struggle with its companion. From then on, it can only see the situation on one side, but it doesn't know the situation on the other. So, the deer thought of a way to eat grass by itself at the seaside, with good eyes on the grass and bad eyes on the sea, and there would be no danger. At first, the deer was lucky enough to eat grass. It thinks its idea is great! Finally, one day, someone passed by the seaside by boat and found the deer. However, the deer didn't find anyone and didn't respond to people's approach. As a result, the people on the boat killed the deer.

The poor deer will never understand until he dies. He thought that the danger would come from the land and was always on the alert, but he paid the price of his life because he relied on the ocean. This story tells us that things in the world are complicated and changeable. Think twice before you do anything, and you will always pay a painful price if you go your own way.
