The meaning of educational punishment
Educational punishment is a special way of education, and its purpose is to promote students' progress. In disciplinary activities, means and purposes coexist. Teachers often exert some influence on students' body and mind, making them feel right and wrong, honor and disgrace, pleasure and pain, thus stimulating their repentance, achieving the purpose of correction, and thus bringing educational effects.
The Trial Rules for Disciplinary Actions in Primary and Secondary Education will be implemented on March/October, 2002 1 year, and the ways of disciplinary actions in education are also clearly defined. Teachers must make it clear that education punishment is not a punishment, but a way of education.
