Huaxi Middle School in Xixia District of Yinchuan City was formerly a school for children of workers in Zhenbeibao Forest and Grass Experimental Field, which was founded in 199 1. During the construction of Huaxi Village in Ningxia, it was renamed Ningxia Huaxi Hope School (nine-year compulsory system), which was managed by immigrants in Diaozhuang. In August of 20001year, due to the rapid expansion of the school scale, the number of students soared and primary and secondary schools were set up independently. After the demarcation of the three districts in Yinchuan in June 2002, it was managed by Xixia District Education Bureau and renamed as Huaxi Middle School in Xixia District, Yinchuan City. In 2004, the Planning Commission of the Autonomous Region, the Education Department and the Development and Reform Commission of Yinchuan invested18.2 million yuan to build new schools in different places, and all of them have been completed and put into use. After the completion of the new school, the school area increased from 16976 square meters to 72000 square meters, and the school building area increased from 1969 square meters to 13462 square meters. The number of students has increased from 12 in 1993 to 1439 now. The enrollment rate of school-age students is 97.68%, the completion rate is 90.20%, and the dropout rate is 1.20%. The teaching scale has changed from single class to ten parallel classes in each grade, and the number of professional teachers has changed from 1999. The qualified rate of full-time teachers is 100%, and the certified rate is 100%. The school provides compulsory education services for 15000 people within a radius of 10 km.
