Hanzhong Vocational and Technical College is in Hanzhong City. Hanzhong Vocational and Technical College is formed by the merger of five provincial and ministerial key universities and technical secondary schools: Hanzhong Education College, Hanzhong Agricultural School, Hanzhong Normal School, Hanzhong Health School and Hanzhong Finance and Economics School. Approved by Shaanxi Provincial People's Government in September 2004, the first institution of higher learning sponsored by Hanzhong Municipal People's Government was established in April 2005 with Document No.46 of the Ministry of Education, and its teaching business was under the management guidance of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education.
