-"Valley Series"
[Note] Su Caiweng: Su Shunyuan (1006— 1054), uncle, gifted scholar. Zizhou (now Zhongjiang, Sichuan) is a native of Tongshan. He and his brother Shunqin are called "Sur" together. Working with seal script, especially good at cursive script, refreshing and healthy. Wang Xizhi's lower case law post "On Music and Yi" in Jin Dynasty. In the Tang Dynasty, Chu Suiliang called it "exquisite brushwork and well-prepared rules". It is listed as the first book of Wang Xizhi. Dong Hu: Historian of Jin Dynasty in the Spring and Autumn Period. Confucius is known as "the good history of ancient times" for his straightforward books.
Fan Zhongyan's calligraphy has been appreciated by many predecessors. Wen Song said: "Reading the right book, such as waiting on others, is both gratifying and awe-inspiring." The Dream of Longjiang in the Tang and Jin Dynasties in the Ming Dynasty said that the sample book was extremely beautiful and there was no illusion of escape. Gao Shiqi in Qing Dynasty also said that Fan Wenzheng's calligraphy was vigorous and beautiful, and he was a figure. Because Fan Zhongyan is a famous minister, he is mistaken for "books are handed down by people" every time, and even when he was young, he thought that Su Caiweng's storytelling was "curved", which was not fair enough. In fact, it was Su Like who misunderstood Cai Weng, and the valley itself experienced this. He praised Yan Heyang's "superb brushwork", and everyone who heard it was shocked, except Dongpo. This scholar-bureaucrat is Yun Dongpo's "love without knowing its evil" in the valley (Huang Tingjian's Postscript Dongpo Book). It was not until his later years in the valley that he realized the characteristics of Fan Zhongyan's calligraphy. "Fingering back to the wrist is superior to the ancient statutes" and draws the conclusion that "everyone likes to write calmly, which is very close to the calligraphy of Jin and Song Dynasties". It can be seen that the attitude of the valley towards art is realistic and serious.
Gu also pointed out that Fan Zhongyan's book posts are popular not only for their artistic value, but also for their profound ideological and educational significance. People should not only learn its brushwork, but also learn the words of the elders in it, deeply understand its meaning, and use it to guide their own lives, thus becoming "auspicious people with lofty ideals." Valley also said something similar in the postscript of Fan Wenzheng's poem: "The Duke of Fan Wenzheng was the first person in the public at that time. Therefore, every time I see a piece of paper, I don't like to enjoy a day. I want to see the so-called' worry about the world first, and then enjoy the world'. This article is between the public and daily life, first in the speaker, then in the speaker. " Fan Zhongyan first had a journey of worrying about the country and the people, and then he had poems of worrying about the country and the people. "Such people don't necessarily have to be famous for their books in the afterlife, but calligraphy is such a work" (Postscript to the Official Book of Fan Wen), which shows that the value of Fan Zhongyan's posts is firstly his personality and noble moral cultivation, and secondly his poems, which can play the role of "carrying Tao".
