Life education attaches importance to human value and embodies the people-oriented concept. College counselors should put life education into practice to promote the healthy development of students and their own lives. The practical work of college counselors in life education In recent years, the phenomenon of ignoring life, such as hurting one's own life or others' lives, has occurred frequently among college students. The reason is that college students are in a critical period of forming their outlook on life, lacking a correct understanding of themselves, society and nature, due respect for life and correct belief in life, easily confused by values, lacking a sense of meaning in life, and the competition and pressure brought about by the global information age and social transformation. College counselors are the main group and educational force in higher education, and play an important role in the growth and success of college students. First, the connotation of life education

Life education was first put forward by Jay Donner Walters of the United States in 1968. He believes that school education should guide students to fully experience the meaning of life and help them prepare for the challenges of life. In the following decades, the concept and practice of life education developed continuously. Life education abroad is carried out through two main lines: life education and death education. For example, Australia established "Life Education Center" in 1979, while Japan advocated "Yu Yu Education" and "Yu Yu Education" with the theme of loving life. 1. Counselors should take life education as the first perspective of students' ideological and political work.

Traditional ideological and political education emphasizes politics and preaching, and its content is abstract, lacking humanistic and perceptual things. Life-related mental health education topics such as quality of life, happiness and development have been discussed more and more. Psychological problems are closely related to philosophical thinking of life. In practice, mental health education and psychological counseling can appropriately alleviate and adjust the problems caused by life dignity and life value, but to completely solve the problems, we must base ourselves on the philosophical level of outlook on life, values or life thinking. 4. Counselors should give full play to the role of life education in helping college students with diligent scholarship and loan, and stimulate their life color.

5. Counselors should infiltrate life education into employment guidance and service.

Life education in a broad sense also includes life education and survival education.
