How to Be a Qualified Special Education Teacher —— Thoughts and Experience of Professor Liu, Vice President of Huizhou University's Lecture
At the end of last semester, Liu Jiaoshou, vice president of Huizhou University, gave us a wonderful and vivid lecture, mainly telling us how to be a qualified teacher from the aspects of self-confidence, value, taste and dignity. The whole lecture was conducted in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Everyone was deeply attracted by Dean Liu's wonderful teaching content and humorous style. More than two hours have passed unconsciously, and everyone still has a feeling of wanting more. I also benefited a lot from such a wonderful lecture. Let me talk about my own experience from the following aspects. First, be an emboldened teacher-improve one's own quality As a teacher, to give students a glass of water, we must first have a bucket of water, which requires us to keep learning and have solid professional basic knowledge and profound cultural knowledge. Makarenko, a Soviet educator, thinks that students can forgive the teacher's harshness, rigidity and even nitpicking, but they can't forgive his ignorance. Teachers should have profound professional knowledge, be able to show their personality in class, spread knowledge through teaching, and educate people touching. As teachers, we should know as much as possible about all aspects of knowledge at ordinary times, satisfy students' curiosity, become students' mentors and friends, make our educational ideas advanced, update our concepts, not be dogmatic and conservative, enter the classroom with a smile, explain the teaching content fluently and vividly, inspire and guide students to think and explore, and strive to respect students' personality, pay attention to students' interests and proceed from their reality according to the requirements and characteristics of subject curriculum standards. Infect students with their own knowledge, pay attention to students' independent learning and cooperative communication in class, and strive to create a competitive learning atmosphere, so that the teaching process will gradually become an interactive process of teacher-student communication and common development. As special education teachers, we must constantly improve our professional quality and teaching level, constantly explore educational methods suitable for different special children, and constantly improve our scientific research level, so as to make our education more handy and become a qualified and confident special educator. Second, be a valuable teacher-love and dedication As a teacher, you must have good professional ethics and lofty personality charm. Educator Tao Xingzhi once said: "Virtue is the soul of a teacher." Teachers are the objects of students' worship and imitation. Only by setting an example can teachers effectively guide students how to behave and how to learn. A good teacher should have professional love. Do what you do and love what you do. Since we have chosen the profession of teacher, we should treat this profession as a career, which will produce a kind of persistence and love for the career and a strong sense of responsibility. Only by persisting in and loving the cause can we have a lofty sense of mission and responsibility; Only when you have persistence and love for your career will you love your students. In the process of work, set high standards for yourself and always regulate your words and deeds. Special education may not have the fragrance of peaches and plums all over the world, but some just work silently day after day and year after year; The return may not be much, only selfless pay and dedication. However, since I chose the profession of special education, I chose dedication. What we have to do is to take special education as our lifelong pursuit, love our jobs and be a valuable special education teacher. 3. Be a caring teacher-educate and love students with spring breeze and rain, be as silent as spring breeze and rain, and make him the most inspiring and effective feeling in students' minds and the most pleasing and beautiful scenery in one's life. Teachers' love should be a right that every student can fully enjoy. It is unfair and immature to be completely bathed in the sunshine of love and leave no dead ends. As special education teachers, we are faced with a group of special children, who are a group of vulnerable groups in society. Some of them can't even take care of themselves and need our love more. Some children look strong on the surface, but in fact they are more fragile than others. For their education, we should ensure that children's hearts are not hurt, so that education can turn into rain and moisten things silently. For example, two "naughty boys" in our class, Wen and Xie Duyong, make mistakes every time. At first, I had to hold back my anger and patiently reason with him and point out what they had done wrong. Slowly, I began to have in-depth communication with them, slowly walked into their hearts, slowly became friends with them, and slowly influenced and changed their fiery temper. Although you can't see many educational effects at a time, small educational effects are gradually accumulated. So love and affection may be the most effective means to educate students. Fourth, be a teacher with taste and dignity-indifferent to fame and fortune, aiming high. Today's society is full of competition, and such a society will inevitably bring people a lot of invisible or visible pressure. Learn to release yourself and always face everything with a tolerant heart, so that you can have a healthy attitude, face the pressure at work, overcome all kinds of difficulties and problems, and easily solve many problems. To do special education, you should be able to endure loneliness and be willing to walk away from those who pay silently. Maybe our work exposure is not high, maybe our work recognition is average, maybe some people lose their balance for a little bit of so-called fame and fortune. But for me, it is my greatest happiness to do my job well and see that the students have made little progress. At work, I always look down on fame and fortune. What I value most is to do a good job in teaching, sum up experience from teaching and improve my teaching level. Being a good teacher should be the goal that every teacher pursues all his life. Only by being down-to-earth, starting from small things, starting from now, persisting, constantly reflecting and constantly improving can we truly realize the lofty goal of being a good teacher.
