Content introduction:
The History of China in Cambridge in Qin and Han Dynasties was originally the History of China in Cambridge 1 volume edited by Fei Zhengqing and Denis Twitchett, and was published in Cambridge University Press on 1986. The history of China in Cambridge is not published by volume. Before this volume, volumes 10, 1 1 and 3 have been published successively, translated by the compilation room of the Institute of History of China Academy of Social Sciences, and published under the titles of History of China in Cambridge in the Late Qing Dynasty and History of China in the Sui and Tang Dynasties in Cambridge. Now my friends at the Institute of History have translated it into The History of Qin and Han Dynasties in China. Cambridge, let me write a few words at the end of the book. I'm both happy and scared. My academic ability in the history of Qin and Han dynasties is limited and I am not qualified to write. However, due to Mr. Michael Loewe's kindness, as soon as this book was published, I gave it to him as a gift, making it one of the earliest readers in China. I have reviewed the whole volume and published some ideas in Historical Materials, among which I call for the translation of this volume as soon as possible. Now, through the efforts of all people in history, this wish has come true, and it is indeed my obligation to write a small preface.
