The Fourth Plenary Session of the Seventeenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China put forward clear requirements for strengthening party building, improving work style and improving the ability and level of governance. We should keep in mind the requirements of "serving the people, being pragmatic and being clean", listen to the people's voices, be responsible to the people, accept their supervision, and constantly improve the scientific level of education.
First, we should base ourselves on the overall situation and define the work orientation. To further clarify the strategic direction of educational work and find the right direction, we should not only plan educational reform and development closely around the work of the party and the state and focus on the overall situation of modernization, but also strengthen the foundation and continuously improve the basic ability and level of educational services; We should not only have a global vision, aim at the international frontier, learn from experience and meet challenges, but also adhere to the basic national conditions, firmly grasp the staged characteristics of China's education reform and development, do our best and do what we can; We should focus on the long-term, embody clear basic ideas and overall orientation in the study and formulation of the planning outline, base ourselves on the current situation, solidly promote all work, and achieve remarkable results; It is necessary to strengthen strategic planning, strive to seek the focus of work from the important decision-making arrangements of the party and the state, and pay attention to overall coordination, find the right combination point of work from the relationship between education and other fields, gather strength, concentrate advantages, integrate resources, and improve the overall effect of work.
