Our college has five undergraduate majors: resources and environment and urban and rural planning and management, geographic information system, agricultural resources and environment, land resources management and environmental engineering, and can be awarded bachelor's degrees in science, management and agriculture.

At the level of undergraduate education, we should focus on cultivating compound talents with strong foundation, wide caliber, strong ability and high quality to meet the needs of socialist modernization, rather than cultivating pure theoretical talents. In terms of knowledge, ability structure and training scale, from the past, we paid more attention to the inheritance, teaching and mastery of knowledge to the coordinated development of knowledge, ability and quality, with special emphasis on the cultivation of ability and quality.

The basic training mode can be summarized as follows:

Postgraduate training in College of Resources and Environment started late, but developed rapidly. In 2000, with the approval of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, he was awarded a master's degree in Plant Nutrition. Since then, he has been awarded master's degrees in ecology, soil science and land resource management respectively, and was awarded a doctorate in ecology with the approval of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee in 2003. At the same time, the college is also one of the units that Gansu Agricultural University has the qualification to recruit professional master students, and can recruit master students in agricultural extension.

Postgraduate training implements the credit system, and the total credits are generally controlled at more than 32 credits, with a maximum of 38 credits. Need a solid theoretical foundation and systematic professional knowledge in this discipline; Master relevant experimental skills; Understand the development trends of research directions at home and abroad; Can skillfully use a foreign language to read professional books and periodicals; Have the ability to independently engage in scientific research, teaching, management or professional and technical work in this discipline and related fields, and have the scientific style of integrating theory with practice and the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The cultivation of doctoral students focuses on scientific research, and the total academic score is generally controlled at 18-22 credits. It is required to master the solid and extensive theoretical foundation, systematic professional knowledge and skills of this discipline; Understand the theoretical and technical level of the development of this discipline, as well as the development trends of research direction at home and abroad; Proficient in a foreign language, with good foreign language listening and speaking and scientific paper writing skills; Have a rigorous academic attitude and realistic and innovative spirit, and have the ability to analyze and solve problems independently; Have good comprehensive quality, work style of integrating theory with practice and enterprising spirit.
