Learning to be a man and practicing knowledge and skills should be beneficial to people, the world and ourselves, so the center is pleased with this, which is a kind of fruitful growth and happiness. When a person's accomplishment reaches this level, he can feel the joy of learning; If you can't reach this level, learning will become a rather painful thing. So, this is the lowest level. If you can't enter this realm, you can't talk about learning. The first sentence of the first chapter of The Analects of Confucius is,' Learn from time to time without being bad; It is such a delight to have friends coming so far. Confucius also repeatedly said,' If you forget to eat when you are angry, you will forget your worries and be old and ignorant'; Eat and drink less, bend your arms and enjoy it. This spirit is not only Confucianism, but more importantly, it has become the universal consciousness or subconscious of China people, a cultural psychological structure or national character. "In other words, Confucius said that the first realm of scholarship has been widely accepted by China people for thousands of years and has become the consensus of scholars.

In the second realm, "it's a pleasure to have friends coming from afar", that is, you can feel the happiness of mutual criticism between friends. In the past, many people only took this sentence literally as a pet phrase for hospitality. In fact, they only saw its appearance. The original meaning of "friend" is a person who "advises goodness and sets the rules first". "Book with Weng Garden" says: "Servants also heard that the ancients had friends, and when they were in a hurry, they all ended up." Investigating its original meaning, Gai takes persuading good rules as the first priority. "Friends come from afar", hello, there is a return; You are too good to be rectified; If you are sick, you will be saved; "Lost and recovered" ("Zuo Zhuan" was married for fourteen years) not only shows that Confucius had a great influence at that time, but also shows that Confucius was eager for confidant and criticism. Where does Confucius' appeal, attraction and cohesion come from? In my opinion, it comes not only from his enthusiasm for teaching, but also from his personality charm of respecting others' criticism and "correcting after passing". He advocates that "friends should be serious and considerate"; He added, "Three friends benefited and three friends suffered. Friends are frank, friends forgive and friends listen more, which is beneficial. Friends will be open, friendly, soft, friends will be destroyed and damaged. " It can be seen that he is looking forward to friends and welcomes criticism. Whether you can sincerely welcome criticism, especially whether you can continue to sincerely welcome criticism after you have achieved certain results, has become the second realm of scholarship. If you can't cross this step, it will be difficult to make great achievements in your studies.

The third realm, "those who don't know and don't hear, are not gentlemen", that is, they can feel the joy of just asking about cultivation and not asking about harvest. How to treat "people don't know" is actually a question of how to treat reputation, status and interests. To truly become a great scholar, you will never try to figure out how to be famous and profitable all day, how to promote and make a fortune, and who to please, and you will never sigh loneliness and discomfort when you can't see your fans chasing you. Once learning becomes the lock of fame and fortune, it becomes the stepping stone to the apprentice, which is not only a blasphemy against academics, but also a shame for scholars themselves. Confucius said: "If you don't know what others don't know, you don't know what a person is"; "Don't suffer from ignorance, don't suffer from ignorance"; "Do not suffer from nowhere, suffer from it; I don't know what I know, but I want to know. " Therefore, "people don't know and don't worry" is the highest realm of scholarship.
