What is the difference between vocational education and basic education?
Vocational education aims at engaging in a certain occupation or productive labor, while basic education mainly aims at continuing education.

Difference:

First, students are different.

1, the students of vocational education come from students who take the general college entrance examination, students who study in secondary vocational and technical colleges and vocational high schools, and students who graduate from junior high schools;

Students in basic education are usually high school graduates at school.

Second, the training objectives are different.

1. Basic education mainly cultivates research, exploration and design talents;

2. Vocational education is mainly to cultivate technical and management talents who have both professional knowledge and advanced skills, can provide technical guidance and transform design drawings into required objects, and can use design concepts or management ideas to conduct on-site command.

Third, the types are different.

1. General basic education is divided into preschool education, primary education, junior high school education and senior high school education, including special education for disabled children, teenagers and young people and work-study education for extraordinary students;

2. Vocational education includes general secondary professional education, vocational high school education, mechanic education and higher vocational education (general higher vocational education also belongs to general higher education).
