I. FLL (engineering challenge)
The First Lego Alliance is an alliance organization composed of the First Organization and the Lego Group. The first organization (to encourage and recognize science and technology) was founded by the inventor Dean Kamen to stimulate young people's interest in science and technology.
The first engineering challenge is an international competition for children aged 9- 16. Every September, the first Lego Alliance will announce the annual challenge project to the global team, encouraging children to conduct scientific research and design their own robots.
Children use Lego MINDSTORMS products and Lego bricks to design, build and program robots under the guidance of counselors to solve real-world problems. The climax of the season is to hold a sports competition.

Extended data:
19 Rules of China Youth robot contest FLL Robot Challenge:
1. All robots must pass the inspection before the competition. In order to help the robot complete the task, the team also needs to design some instruments (formerly known as strategic goods), and the requirements for these instruments are the same as those for the robot.
2. Only one Lego NXT or RCX or EV3 controller is allowed for the participating robots. Objects that leave the robot are not part of the robot. Instruments carried by or in contact with the robot can be regarded as a part of the robot. ?
Every piece of equipment used in the competition must be made of Lego components in the original factory state, and the wires and hoses can be cut to the required length.
4. There is no limit to the number and source of non-electric Lego components except that the clockwork/pull-back "motor" is not allowed. Pneumatic components are allowed.
5. The electrical components used must be regular MINDSTORMS components produced by Lego.
6. After registration, teams that do not meet this requirement will be disqualified. During the competition, teams should provide purchase contracts, invoices and other documents to prove that the equipment used comes from formal channels. The organizing Committee has the right to deal with the equipment from informal channels accordingly.
