Shanghai Ocean University Research Institute is committed to exploring the potential of marine scientific research and broadening the field of scientific research. After five to six years of construction, the development pattern of marine disciplines with marine biological resources, marine environment and marine information as the core has been formed, the knowledge innovation system of marine disciplines has been built, and the ability of independent innovation in science and technology and personnel training has been enhanced. The research institute is a non-administrative institution and a relatively independent public scientific research platform, innovation platform and education platform. The Institute has 1 1 international and open research centers, research institutes and key laboratories, including Digital Ocean Research Institute, China-US Ocean Remote Sensing and Information Research Center, Marine Ecosystem and Environment Laboratory, Marine Biological System and Neuroscience Research Center, and Marine Economy and Culture Research Center. It has hired two double-hired academicians and flexibly introduced a number of top-notch talents to join.
Relying on this platform, Shanghai Ocean University established the China Sea Remote Sensing Monitoring Network in cooperation with NOAA of the United States, the Institute of Digital Oceanography with the East China Sea Branch of the State Oceanic Administration, the Key Laboratory of Marine Environment and Ecology with Ocean No.1 Institute, and the Ocean Remote Sensing Information Center with Ocean No.2 Institute, committed to joining the "Dragon" plan of the European Union. At present, Academy of Ocean Sciences has undertaken more than 0/00 major scientific research projects such as National 973 and 863 Plan, National Science and Technology Support Plan, international cooperation and provincial and ministerial level.
