The Institute of Marine Science of Shanghai Ocean University (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute") is an "academic special zone" for the construction and development of marine disciplines. Relying on this platform, Shanghai Ocean University established the China Sea Remote Sensing Monitoring Network in cooperation with NOAA of the United States, the Institute of Digital Oceanography with the East China Sea Branch of the State Oceanic Administration, the Key Laboratory of Marine Environment and Ecology with Ocean No.1 Institute, and the Ocean Remote Sensing Information Center with Ocean No.2 Institute, committed to joining the "Dragon" plan of the European Union. At present, Academy of Ocean Sciences has undertaken more than 0/00 major scientific research projects such as National 973 and 863 Plan, National Science and Technology Support Plan, international cooperation and provincial and ministerial level.
