How to understand the integration of teachers' pre-service and post-service development
Teacher education = pre-service education (also called pre-service training)+induction training+post-service education (on-the-job training).

The basic task of teacher education is to train qualified teachers for basic education, while the focus of post-service teacher education is to train high-quality teachers. Pre-service education for teachers is to train teachers for basic education. The purpose of teachers' post-service education is to make up for and improve the shortage of teachers' pre-service education, or to pay attention to teachers' professional growth, that is, to pay attention to the renewal of teachers' self-knowledge, to help teachers enhance their professional decision-making ability and to expand the sources of knowledge engaged in professional activities. Teachers' after-service development mode is continuing education, such as school-based training, centralized training (including on-the-job training) and distance training. Teachers' after-service education is an important way to realize teachers' lifelong learning.

Teacher education is gradually advancing towards "integration", which is essentially to combine the contents of teacher education, change one-off and final training into continuous and lifelong education, deepen pre-service education with post-service education, pay attention to the practicality of teacher education in pre-service education, and solve the problems of teacher post-service education in a different way from pre-service training. The integration of teacher education gives us a lot of thoughts: pre-service teacher education is not the whole, but the starting point and foundation. Teacher education should not only have a good starting point and foundation, but also have a developing future.
