The credit system is applied to the continuing education of licensed pharmacists, and those who have obtained the qualification of licensed pharmacists must participate in continuing education of not less than 16 credits every year, with a cumulative total of not less than 45 credits within 3 years of registration. Compulsory elective content shall not be less than 10 credits.

Credits obtained by licensed pharmacists participating in compulsory, elective and self-study courses shall be valid nationwide after registration of the Registration Certificate for Continuing Education of Licensed Pharmacists.

The State Food and Drug Administration of the United States is responsible for the measures for the administration of continuing education of licensed pharmacists, and organizing the formulation and examination and approval of the contents of continuing education. The provincial food and drug administration is responsible for the implementation of continuing education for licensed pharmacists in this area.
