Laozi was born in Qurenli, Li Xiang, Ku County, Chen in the Spring and Autumn Period. His surname was Li Minger, and his word was Yong. A great thinker, philosopher, writer and historian, the founder of Taoism, and his masterpiece "Tao Te Ching" have been highly praised by Taoists of all ages. Governing by doing nothing is its core idea.
According to statistics, the two books with the largest circulation in the world, one is the Western Bible, and the other is Laozi's Tao Te Ching, show that their status and significance are extraordinary! Laozi is regarded as the ancestor in Taoism, because Laozi is the founder of Taoism and is regarded as the "too old gentleman" by later generations. According to historical records, Lao Zi lived to 10 1 year (57 1-47 1 BC), but it has been a folk myth since its birth. According to legend, Laozi's mother was not married, and a meteor passed by, and Laozi's mother was pregnant. As a result, it took more than 70 years to give birth to Lao Zi. Because I was born with white hair and later generations called me Lao Zi, I had no childhood. Some scholars believe that Laozi's surname is Li, and there is another saying that Laozi can talk and walk as soon as he is born. When he saw a plum tree outside the door, he brushed his beard and said, My name is Li. I have never pursued fame and fortune in my life. I have only worked as a librarian, but I have made great achievements. Later, Laozi incarnated by many names, such as Jinque Dijun, Guangshouzi and Guangchengzi. After my death, Lao Tzu ranked three clear and had a high position. Because Taoism cultivates immortality, believes in immortality, has strong religious color and myths and legends, and the theory of ghosts and gods also comes from Taoism, so it is logical that Laozi was named a god after his death. When you understand the Taoist theory, you will have a better understanding of the deification of Laozi.
On the other hand, Confucius (September 28, 5565438 BC +0? BC 1 1 April), named "Autumn" and the word ",was the founder of Confucianism, who once taught Laozi, and his work The Analects of Confucius was immortal. Confucius is known as a saint, a teacher of all ages and a great sage. Many emperors have to bow down, because Confucius' virtue and morality are more suitable for governing the country. In fact, in Bian Xiao's view, Confucius is binding people's minds on some levels, and knowing how to follow them is like brainwashing. Starting with dolls, this is a good thing. Laozi, on the other hand, conforms to nature, governs by doing nothing, advocates free development and respects human nature more. But judging from the achievements, in fact, Kong Old Master Q's position is not much worse than Lao Zi's, but his views and thoughts are different. In Confucianism, there is no such thing as ghosts and gods, let alone gods. This is the main reason why Confucius was not deified by later myths after his death.
However, a friend said that there are other examples that have been deified by later generations, such as Guan Yu, which is a very good example. Can Guan Yu achieve more than Confucius? Therefore, being deified by later generations is also mixed with many complicated historical reasons and human factors, which cannot be used to measure a person's achievements. There is also a basis for why Confucius is not mythologized, because different thoughts and opinions have created different realms. Confucius said, "Some people have the same idea as that bird, so I subdued him with bows and arrows.": Some people think like elk, so I chase them with hounds. Some people's thoughts swim around in the deep sea of love like fish, and I can catch them with a hook; But some people's thoughts, like dragons, wander through the clouds and wander in the dreamland, which can't be subdued, chased or figured out, so I have no choice. I've been with Laozi for three years, and his thoughts are like dragons. I can't accept what he said, but I have to speak. I really don't know if he is a man or a god! Confucius' thoughts can't catch up with Laozi's thoughts at all, and the gap is too big, just like a dialogue between God and man. Confucius became an eternal saint, but a mortal, and Laozi became an eternal myth. But objectively speaking, two people's ideas and views are different. If you have to divide it into high and low levels, you can refer to this sentence: Laozi is the best in the world, and Confucius is the second child in the Millennium!
