People are good at being bullied. Why should we educate children to be "kind"?

I saw a French picture book, and its teeth told a story: a baboon found a tooth, and he began to look for its owner. He looked around and met hippopotamus, zebra, beaver and rhinoceros, and finally he found the owner of the tooth-crocodile. The crocodile said with tears, "I have been sad for it all day ..."

The rest of the story is a bit cruel, so I won't say it here.

There is a word mentioned in the picture book, "crocodile tears". This is a famous western proverb.

Crocodiles shed tears when swallowed. But crocodile tears are not a sign of pity, but a process of swallowing. Therefore, people think crocodile tears are hypocritical tears. Ask, who will cry while eating people?

But from a scientific point of view, crocodile tears are mainly to eliminate the increased salt in the body when hunting and swallowing.

This picture book throws a proposition:

Kind people are easily bullied. Should children be taught "kindness"?

There is a saying that every man for himself, the devil takes the hindmost.

Many people think that this sentence means that people will die if they don't seek benefits for themselves. Later, Buddhists had a more pertinent explanation. According to Buddhism, if a person does not do good for himself or create evil consequences for himself, he will die.

A while ago, the Chinese National Theatre staged a drama version of Richard III. Richard III disowned his six relatives, sought power and usurped the throne, and finally ascended the throne. However, he was in great pain. His heart was tortured by conscience and he was defeated and killed in the battle with the Earl of Richmond.

Before Richard III was killed, I was particularly impressed by this scene:

Richard III was surrounded by his hands and trembled as if he had been struck by thousands of lightning. He couldn't help asking himself, "What have I done for myself? What have I done for myself? " Richard III's self-questioning and self-answering are consistent with the Buddhist interpretation. The real "for yourself"-is to accumulate good deeds for yourself, do good deeds, not do evil, not seek benefits for yourself.

Conscience, this is human instinct.

On the podium of the 12th China Children's Year Reading Forum and the stage of the lamplighter, there was a shouting voice: "None of us can let our children live in a glass cover". Children are so fragile and beautiful. How can we educate them to survive in this society? Hong Ke's Golden Altai said: "The more fragile, the stronger, just like a seedling." The weak force will also be the strongest force. It seems that the most vulnerable woman in the world, however, the most powerful woman, her name is "mother".

Kindness is the most powerful force in the world. Kindness is a kind of heartfelt care and love. Kind people want to protect their own world, just as mothers protect their children, and mothers will always be the most powerful force in this world. Not just people, everything is the same. In the documentary "African Cat", although the lioness Leia was injured, she showed great strength for her daughter, the lioness Mara generate. When the lion escaped from the pride to save her life, it was the injured lioness Leia who stubbornly resisted. Needless to say, mother's calf protection. The essence of goodness is the power of guarding.

The most vulnerable and often the most powerful force.

To teach children kindness is to teach them to be kind to everything with love. The power of love is the most powerful force in the world. Zen friends said: When you love everything, everything will love you. This is the charm.

Kind people, seemingly fragile, are actually very powerful. No one is a fool, only a wise man. Isn't it children who tell the truth in the emperor's new clothes? A simple heart can see the essence of the world clearly. The world is a mirror, and kind people often get care and help from all directions. Confucius said: "Virtue is not alone, there must be neighbors", and many times, good deeds are rewarded with good deeds. This is why we should educate our children to be kind people, which is to create happiness for ourselves.

Let's go back to the picture book Whose Teeth, which is just the beginning of the story. This is a series of picture book stories. In the second episode of the story, another story "Who ate my little baboon" appeared-

Are kind people really easy to be bullied?

What is kindness?

True kindness is a kind of guarding power. Protect the world you love with your life. If evil comes from selfishness and greed, then good comes from the power of love and protection.

As the saying goes, "the weakest strength is the strongest strength, just like a seedling."

Of course, it is necessary to educate children to be kind people, just like in the picture book Whose Tooth, there is nothing wrong with the little baboon looking for the owner of the tooth. Kindness is a blessing to yourself. Every man for himself (creates happiness), and the devil takes the hindmost.

In the second series of the picture book "Who ate my little baboon", we will understand that kindness will not be bullied. Cowardice is never really a good thing. There is a saying that everything has a good result. If not, it's because it's not over!

We should still educate our children to be kind, but at the same time, we need to teach them to recognize different teeth-

"Teeth" has two meanings here. One is to identify the teeth of different animals in children's science popularization, such as the teeth of elephants, crocodiles, hippos, rhinos, zebras, elephants, giraffes and so on. The other is also a metaphor. We need to teach children the ability to distinguish good from evil.

Let's go back to the story of whose teeth.

In fact, there is a foreshadowing in the book.

Baboons once asked Mrs giraffe with their teeth, "Is this your tooth?"

Mrs. Giraffe said, "You are holding the teeth of a carnivore, and I am a herbivore."

Here, the enlightenment of this story is that we must teach children the ability to "distinguish good from evil". If the red baboon knows that carnivores are dangerous, he should give up looking for the owner of the teeth here.

However, the red baboon didn't realize the danger. Finally, the red baboon was deceived by crocodile's tears.

This story book gives us a lot of inspiration. But we must not be superficial and think that kindness will be bullied. Kindness is a guardian force and a powerful force. We should still educate our children to be kind people, which is for our own good, but this story reminds us that it is very important to cultivate children's ability to distinguish good from evil and distinguish right from wrong.
