Meng Lan is a giant panda. She was born on August 20 17 13, and is a national first-class protected animal. At present, Meng Lan lives in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, which is also called Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base. The base is the largest artificial breeding and wildlife protection center for giant pandas in the world, covering an area of 86.7 hectares. Established in 1987, this base is one of the important bases for protecting rare wild animals such as giant pandas in China, and also one of the important tourist and scientific research scenic spots at home and abroad. In addition to Menglan, there are a large number of giant pandas living and breeding in the base. The base has a giant panda exhibition hall, a giant panda research building, a giant panda breeder's dormitory, a research office building, a caravan camp and other supporting buildings, which provide a guarantee for the protection of giant pandas, the study of giant panda behavior and breeding, popular science and tourism services. It should be noted that Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base is not an amusement park, but a panda breeding and research center. Visitors need to visit Menglan and other pandas under the guidance of the staff.
