Jinghu District is the central city of Wuhu City, Anhui Province, bordering Jiujiang District in the east, the Yangtze River in the west, Qingyi River facing Yijiang District in the south and Wuhu Economic Development Zone in the north. Jinghu District is the central city of Wuhu, the city's political, economic and cultural center, the national community education pilot unit, the provincial "double support" demonstration area and the provincial community service demonstration area. Here, the land and water transportation is developed, the humanities are gathered, and the tourism resources are rich. Zhongjiang Tower, located at the intersection of Qingyi River and Yangtze River, was built in 46 years of Ming Wanli.
There is a "Buwen Pavilion" in Liu Chunyuan near the mirror lake for future generations to commemorate the martyr Wang Buwen. The beautiful scenery in Jinghu District, the slender willows in Jinghu Lake, the clear haze of Zheta, the shadow of Shuangjiang Tower, the spring scenery of whipping and the rain in the mountains are all fascinating. Jinghu Lake, a pearl of Wuhu in Jiangcheng, consists of large and small Jinghu Lake surrounded by weeping willows. There are beautiful scenery along the lake, such as Liu Chun Garden, Buyue Bridge, Guanlan Pavilion, Kochi Garden and Jiuzi Square. Jinghu Lake faces Zheshan Mountain, and there are several paintings in the lake. The mountains are shaded by trees and the mountains and rivers are continuous, which makes tourists linger.
History and culture
Jinghu District is an ancient city of Wuhu with a long history. It has been 1700 years since Sun Quan of Soochow moved from Jiuzi to Wuhu County in the second year of Wu (AD 223). In the second year of Guangxu, British imperialism forced the Qing government to sign the Sino-British Yantai Treaty, and listed Wuhu as one of the trading ports.
