How to educate children about safety? 10 set of picture books to help you!
A few days ago, a tragedy in Changsha attracted the attention of various media: a 5-year-old boy put a 2-year-old girl in the elevator, causing her to fall to her death.

After the tragedy, most of the comments were directed at 5-year-old Xiong Haizi. But, think about it, is it really the child's fault? If you want to be held accountable, the parents of two children are the ones responsible, right?

Let's start with a 2-year-old girl. The news did not say why the guardian let such a small child out of the sight of adults, but it was the most direct cause of the tragedy.

Besides, a 5-year-old boy, such a small child, will not know what is dangerous and what is safe if he has no education. It was only his parents' lack of safety education that led to his arbitrary behavior.

Then the question is, how should parents educate such a small child about safety?

Today, I recommend 10 set of safety education picture books to my parents to read with my children.

1, "Little Rabbit Lost"

The child's exploration begins from birth, and he will look at the world in front of him with curious eyes. Take him out to play when he is older. He will look around and enjoy it. By the age of three or four, his curiosity was even stronger and he couldn't wait to try everything. For children, curiosity is very precious, so we should protect it well, but we should also let children understand that we should pay attention to safety while exploring.

Suitable reading age: 0-4 years old

2. Tom Lost

The painting style of Tom Rabbit series is anthropomorphic, which is very close to our real life. When reading these contents to children, I will secretly admire the author's wisdom: this kind of seamless education allows children to know how to face their own problems through laughter and parents to learn how to deal with these problems.

Suitable reading age: 0-6 years old

3. "My first set of parent-child safety picture books"

This set of books consists of four volumes:

"It's safe to walk and ride a bike": teach children traffic rules and let them form a sense of obeying them.

Mom, please don't worry about me: let the children learn to avoid possible dangers in public places.

I am not a stupid child: let children learn how to protect themselves when they encounter crimes against children.

"You can't get hurt": Tell your child what daily necessities at home may be dangerous.

The arrangement of this set of books is very lively and interesting, which suits the children's appetite. It successfully captures the children's interest, and the conversion between the content in the book and the real situation in life is very natural and easy for children to accept. There are also some parent-child interactions that can make children not only listen, but also use their brains.

Suitable reading age: 2-8 years old

Please come with me: teach children anti-fraud countermeasures

Small frame, easy to carry, beautiful picture, and the story is closer to life. The book is divided into three parts: first, children's songs, second, stories, and third, interaction, including expansion activities. The book begins with a children's song to introduce the theme, and then the story content. In the next interaction, there was a safety quiz, asking what you would do if you couldn't find your mother, and so on. You can see from the child's answer whether the child has mastered the skills of finding a mother. In the interaction, "like a mother-in-law's exhortation" is to remind parents to tell their children something at ordinary times. At the end of the book, there is a "language paradise", including sentence-making, and there is an expression museum in the extension activities to let children know what expressions represent what feelings, and also to support children to draw various expressions.

The final extension activity is "I am proud", which allows children to retell the content of the story and enhance their understanding!
