In order to better fulfill the functions of the national education entrance examination and meet the needs of the reform of the national education entrance examination enrollment system, the development needs of the education entrance examination in Gansu Province are comprehensively considered.

20 12 With the approval of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Gansu Provincial College Admissions Office and the Gansu Provincial Higher Education Self-taught Examination Office were integrated to form the Gansu Provincial Education Examinations Institute. After the integration of the two departments, they will be mainly responsible for implementing the principles, policies and regulations of the state, the provincial party Committee and the provincial government on the education entrance examination.

Participate in the formulation of policies and implementation measures for education examination, enrollment and admission in the whole province, and undertake the management, organization and implementation of unified enrollment examination, higher education self-study examination, ordinary high school level examination, non-academic social certificate, and college enrollment in Gansu Province.

Responsibilities and functions:

Gansu Education Examinations Institute was formed by the integration of the former Gansu Higher Education Admissions Office and the former Gansu Higher Education Self-taught Examination Office.

The former College Admissions Office of Gansu Province was mainly responsible for organizing and implementing the enrollment, examination and admission of ordinary colleges, adult colleges and graduate students (including master's and doctoral students); Organize and implement the examination and admission work of "college-upgraded" colleges and universities in the province; Responsible for the enrollment of general secondary schools and adult secondary schools in the province.

The former Gansu Higher Education Self-taught Examination Office mainly undertakes all kinds of non-academic certificate examinations, self-taught examinations and other education-related professional certificate examinations entrusted by the national and provincial education administrative departments.
