China Science and Technology Museum is the only national comprehensive science and technology museum in China. The new museum was opened on September 6, 2009, and it is a national practice education base for primary and secondary schools.

The new building is a single square, and several building blocks fit each other, so that the whole building presents a huge "Luban lock" and a "Rubik's cube". The whole shape is novel and has a scientific "taste".

While developing exhibition education and science and technology museum, China also organizes various popular science practices and training experiments, so that the audience can deepen their understanding and perception of science through personal participation and improve their scientific literacy in a subtle way.

The new China Science and Technology Museum is located at No.5 Beichen East Road, Chaoyang District. It is adjacent to the Asian Games residential area in the east, the Olympic water system in the west, the main Olympic stadium in the south and the forest park in the north. Covering an area of 48,000 square meters, the building scale is/kloc-0.02 million square meters. It is an important part of the three concepts of "green Olympics, high-tech Olympics and people's Olympics" in the central area of the Olympic Park.

The first phase of China Science and Technology Museum was completed and opened on September 22nd, 1988, the second phase was completed and opened on April 29th, 2000, and the new museum was completed and opened on September 6th, 2009.

The new China Science and Technology Museum has four special-effect theaters, namely, Science Park, Light of China, Exploration and Discovery, Science and Technology and Life, Challenge and Future, Public Space Exhibition Area, Giant Screen Cinema, Dynamic Cinema and 4D Cinema. Among them, Ball Screen Cinema has two functions: image maximum projection and sky demonstration.
