Shenyang Institute of Engineering is a newly upgraded undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education in 2003, which belongs to the Liaoning Provincial People's Government. The school is located in Shenbei New District, Shenyang. It has a main campus, a science park and an industrial park, covering an area of nearly 860,000 square meters and a construction area of nearly 320,000 square meters. The school recruits students from 29 provinces (cities and autonomous regions) across the country.
