Picture book course of safety education
For the "safety education" in the process of parenting, I sometimes feel that the biggest trouble is that we have known most of the safety knowledge since we lived to this age, but how can we pass on our understanding of the world to our children? The current practice is to remind you at any time, but as the child's self-care ability becomes stronger and stronger, she will worry about what amazing things she will do without built-in safety knowledge.

At this time, my first safety knowledge picture book is very suitable for parents and children to read together. It has the feeling that we used to read the love encyclopedia, but the encyclopedia is a mixture of popular science and various life problems. My first picture book on safety knowledge pays close attention to various safety issues.

The waist of the book says "protect yourself, be considerate of others, and don't let adults worry". The four stories in the book are set as "because children are good at taking care of themselves, they can be healthy and not sick, so there is no need to call the police safely, so adults feel very annoyed." Since this book was translated from South Korea, the police department, fire department and pediatrician were invited to conduct professional audit to make the content more in line with Taiwan Province Province.

There are four books in this series:

Don't let firefighters worry: fire control and life safety education, talk about earthquake refuge, fire escape, possible dangers and corresponding strategies when playing in amusement parks, mountains and beaches.

Don't worry doctors: health education, providing dental health information, and the causes and treatment of diseases and injuries.

Don't let the police worry: traffic and life safety education, let children know traffic safety, initially know how to protect their bodies, and what to do if they get lost.

Don't let the cleaners worry: environmental education helps children understand how garbage is generated and treated, and how to implement energy conservation and emission reduction in their lives.

In the book, I will first show the children what is wrong with the whole situation map with a big picture. For example, this is "Don't worry the police". Four-and-a-half-year-old elk can already see most of the abnormalities. At this time, she can strengthen a few situations that she didn't notice or even know would be dangerous.

Opening the pull page of the big picture will explain why this is dangerous in the way of lianliankan and partial picture.

This book is Don't Worry Doctors. It introduces the dentist's tools and what will happen in dental examination. The more children know, the less afraid they are of going to the dentist. But I'm still nervous when I hear the motor sound of the equipment at the scene. )

This is "Don't worry the cleaners". Ahem, I specially strengthened "only buy what I can eat" for the little elk, because mom will be fatter if she helps her eat leftovers, and dumping them will cause a burden on the soil and water!

This is "Don't worry the firemen". This page talks about the safety of going to amusement parks and zoos. Elk immediately thought of the incident in which we saw a child reaching over the fence to tease animals and being bitten by his hand.

This book not only helps children understand various situations in the form of linked reading, but also sometimes shows what will happen if things are done or not, and tells children how things may develop.

At the end of the book Don't Worry the Police, there is some education for parents. I also read it to the little elk one by one, giving examples to let her know how adults should treat her and how to cooperate with adults in order to implement real safety. For example, when she is over four years old, she can actually take care of herself. She has always wanted to try to stay at home alone, and she thinks there will be no problem. But I explained to her that according to the law of having fewer children, parents can't leave their children alone. Using this set of books can also let her know that this is not my empty talk, but that there will be real safety problems.

For example, in the example given in the book, parents leave their children at home, and the children may run out of the door to find adults and get lost.

The day we first read this set of picture books together, there happened to be a social news. A child went out alone while his mother was not paying attention and was run over by a car downstairs. These are all safety issues that parents and children should remember.

In addition, the sexual abuse of young children has attracted more and more attention. It is also mentioned in the book that children should be educated to draw physical boundaries on their own initiative, and parents should respond immediately when they find abnormalities.

However, I may have read Yachun's "Preschool Sex Education: Replacing the Obligation of Resistance with the Power of Consent" before: "I have repeatedly emphasized the important reason for replacing the obligation of passive resistance with the power of positive consent: the former is to teach children that you are a powerful actor, and the latter may give children a hint that you are a potential victim. So I think some examples cited in the book are a bit inappropriate, but as an introduction, I think it may be better to leave some room for parent-child discussion.

Recommended for you who want to help your child with safety education, but don't know where to tell your child!
