Combined with the working characteristics of public institutions, the public basic knowledge examination mainly examines the basic knowledge of law, practical writing, science and technology, civic moral construction and current affairs and politics that candidates have mastered.
The total score of "Public Basic Knowledge" is 100, and the examination time is 90 minutes. The questions are objective questions such as one-way multiple-choice questions, multiple-choice questions and true-false questions. The proportions of law, practical writing, science and technology foundation, civic morality construction and current affairs politics in the test questions are about 30%, 25%, 25%, 10% and 10% respectively.
The first part is the basic knowledge of law.

The second part is the basic knowledge of practical writing.
1. Basic knowledge of practical writing: ①. An overview of practical writing; ② Characteristics of practical writing; ③ The function of applied writing; ④ Classification and writing of practical writing; ⑤. General style and structure of official documents;
2. Common document writing points: ① Normative document writing; (2) Several common official documents: such as decisions, reports, instructions, notices, circulars, letters, etc. ; (3) Write several common practical articles on administrative affairs, such as planning, summarizing, briefing and debriefing report.
Part III Basic knowledge of science and technology
This part tests the examinee's common sense understanding of the current scientific and technological trends and information at home and abroad. The test content includes the basic characteristics, functions and development trends of information science and technology, biotechnology, energy science and technology, space technology and agricultural high-tech. Candidates should understand the core research contents and characteristics of the above-mentioned new science and technology, its position and role in economic and social development, the main scientific and technological achievements in this field, and its development trend. The fourth part is the construction of citizens' morality.
