1913 ——1916 studied in the department of forestry of imperial university in Tokyo, Japan, and went to the german tarantula institute of advanced forestry (now the department of forestry of Dresden university) to study forest products chemistry. 1927 returned to China.

Social assessment
Liang is a famous forestry scientist, forestry educator and social activist in China, and one of the outstanding pioneers of modern forestry and forestry science. He spent most of his life engaged in forestry education and forest product chemistry research. In his later years, he served as the Minister of Forestry Reclamation Department of the Central People's Government (later changed to Forestry Department) and held some leadership positions in the scientific and technological circles and democratic parties.
His main achievement is to cultivate a large number of forestry scientific and technological talents, create the chemistry of forest products manufacturing in China, spread the new forestry scientific theory, and put forward the direction of forestry construction to develop forestry in an all-round way and green the whole of China, pushing the forestry construction in China to a new stage.
