An overview of the usage of English passive voice
The passive voice consists of the past participle of the auxiliary verb be+ and the transitive verb. The change of person, number and tense shows the change of be. Take teach as an example to illustrate the composition of passive voice in various tenses.

General present tense: am/is/are+taught

Simple past tense: was/were+taught

Simple future tense: to be/to be+taught.

Present continuous tense: am/is/arebeing+taught

Past continuous tense: have/hasbe+taught

Now perfect tense: have/hasbeen+taught

The formula of the song is: change the passive voice and follow the past participle.

Third, the use of passive voice.

(1) I don't know or need to explain who is the executor of the action.

For example:

Some new computers were stolen last night.

Some new computers were stolen last night. I wonder who stole the computer.

This book was published in 198 1. This book was published in 198 1.

(2) Emphasize the receiver of the action, not the executor of the action.

The window was broken by Mike. The window was broken by Mike.

This book was written by him. This book was written by him.

You must ensure eight hours of sleep every day. You must sleep for eight hours every day.

Song formula: I don't know who did the action, so there is no need to say who did it;

Actors need to emphasize the application of passive voice.

Fourthly, the method of changing the active voice into the passive voice.

(1) Turn the object in the active voice into the subject in the passive voice.

(2) Turn the predicate into a passive structure (be+ past participle)

The form of be is determined according to the sum of persons of subjects in passive voice sentences and the tense of verbs in original active voice sentences.

(3) Put the subject in the active voice after the preposition by as the object, and change the nominative case to the accusative case. For example:

Everyone laughed at him.

He was laughed at by everyone.

They make bicycles in the factory.

Are these bicycles made? By them? In the factory.
