CET-4 and CET-6 certificates are issued by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education. Certificates are divided into three grades: A, B and C. Certificates below C will not be issued. In order to adapt to the new situation of China's higher education development, deepen the teaching reform, improve the teaching quality, and meet the needs of the country for talent training in the new period, in early 2004, the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) organized and began to try out the "College English Curriculum Teaching Requirements (Trial)" in some universities across the country. Subsequently, the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) issued CET-4 and CET-6 certificates. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Education, the reform group and examination committee of CET-4 and CET-6, after repeated discussions and argumentation, have extensively listened to the opinions of front-line college English teachers and students, and formulated the National College English Test-4 and CET-6 Reform Plan (for Trial Implementation).

The speaking ability standard of CET-4 and CET-6 is as follows: 1, and Grade A: It is basically easy to communicate in English on familiar topics. 2. Grade B: I can make oral communication on familiar topics in English. Although it is somewhat difficult, it does not affect communication. 3. Grade C: Can make simple oral communication on familiar topics in English. 4. Grade D: I don't have the ability of oral English communication yet. CET-4 and CET-6 are national teaching tests sponsored by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). From June 65438+1October 7 10, 2005, the National College English Testing Committee was entrusted by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) to issue transcripts to each candidate.
