School profile Anqing Medical College was upgraded in March 2007, and it is the only medical institution of higher learning in southwest Anhui. Formerly known as Anqing Health School, the school-running history can be traced back to "Li Huang Senior Midwives and Nurses Vocational School" established by 1943, which is the earliest public medical education school in Anhui Province.
The school is located in Yixiu District, Anqing City, on the bank of the Yangtze River and at the foot of Dalong Mountain, the ancient land of Anhui in full of green. It covers an area of 630 mu (420,000 square meters), with a building area of 6,543,800 square meters and teaching equipment worth more than 50 million yuan.
