How to improve the quality of mathematics teaching in primary schools for children of migrant workers
Yan Huilian (833200, Kuidong Farm Middle School, No.7 Agricultural Division, Xinjiang Corps)1. The present situation of mathematics learning of migrant children (1) The family education and present situation of migrant children are worrying. Because of their relatively low education level, migrant workers can only pay attention to their children's superficial academic achievements in family education, and it is difficult to pay attention to their comprehensive ability, inner feelings and study habits. Most migrant workers still go out to work all day, and their income is not high, so it is difficult to create excellent learning conditions for children. For example, after school, parents rarely have the opportunity to communicate with their children, rarely buy some useful books for their children, and even have no time to take care of them. Over time, it is easy for children to form the habit of being free and loose, and it is difficult to form the habit of learning mathematics. (B) schools still pay insufficient attention to the children of migrant workers. Because each migrant worker's children's learning foundation is different, most children's learning environment is very unstable, and they often have to transfer with the change of their parents' workplace, which is also an important factor leading to the unstable learning foundation and academic performance of migrant workers' children. In addition, at present, schools for children of migrant workers have not formed a special and reasonable teaching model specifically for children of migrant workers, schools and teachers have not paid enough attention to children of migrant workers, and some teachers even lack confidence in their learning, which leads them to fail to keep up with the learning progress and the cultivation of math habits. Second, suggestions and strategies (1) to cultivate interest in mathematics learning. Interest is a child's first teacher. Yang Le, a famous mathematician in contemporary China, once said: "Interest is the key to learning mathematics well." For mathematics, once students are interested, coupled with good guidance, they can be inspired to devote themselves to mathematics teaching courses and give full play to their greatest potential. As a math teacher in a primary school for children of migrant workers, we should be good at asking questions to stimulate students' interest in teaching. For example, we can let students experience the meaning of scores from real life cases by folding paper and drawing graphics. The classified query of periodical articles is second only to periodical database. Mathematics is a highly scientific subject, and teachers should fully embody the beauty of mathematics in teaching practice. The artistic beauty of mathematics lies in its formulas, rules, concepts and symbols, which give him a scientific, cautious and abstract beauty. In the classroom, teachers should grasp the beauty of mathematics and show it to students in combination with their own teaching art level, so that students can feel the beauty and magic of mathematics, thus stimulating their interest and love for mathematics. For example, some cases of mathematics learning can be linked with specific life, so that students can realize that there is mathematics everywhere in life. Once, when I was teaching a polygon course, I asked my students to find similar cases from their lives, so the students were very active and analyzed all the objects they saw in class and in their lives. (2) Appropriate extracurricular activities in mathematics. Teachers can properly carry out extracurricular activities in mathematics, cultivate students' practical ability, and then stimulate students' self-study ability, go out of the classroom, feel the mathematics in life, find the real mathematics in life with an observation eye, and further explore and explain the quantitative relationship of things by themselves, which is also conducive to the improvement of classroom mathematics learning atmosphere. Once, the school held a sports meeting, and I encouraged the students to use what they had learned to classify and summarize the athletes in the sports meeting according to different genders and events. Students quickly collected information by themselves, designed and made statistical tables, and reported the design ideas and statistical results in the form of groups. Through this practice, the author has a deep understanding. Students can not only understand and master the knowledge points of mathematics, but also cultivate their mathematical application ability and stimulate their creative thinking. (3) Close to and enter students' life. Because students generally come from floating families in rural areas, and some of them are even influenced by their parents' ideas, there is the idea that "it doesn't matter if they learn well but learn poorly, and learning is their duty". Their parents don't have high expectations for their children, and some even learn to read and count. In the long run, it is not difficult to understand that the children of migrant workers have poor learning foundations. The author believes that teachers should be close to students and enter their lives. Pupils are delicate and emotional. Without caring for them, they will easily become introverted, lose interest in learning and alienate their teachers. Over time, their grades will decline. Once, the author helped a migrant worker's children get out of their psychological predicament and correct their learning attitude. This student is usually playful, rarely finishes his homework on time, and his learning attitude is not serious. After many exchanges, it still doesn't work. Later, I learned indirectly that the student's parents work outside every day and have no time to take care of him, and they often quarrel at home. In such an environment, the student gave up on himself and was tired of learning. After understanding the situation, I made a special trip to visit the parents of the students and had a detailed communication. After several times of communication, the children's parents gradually realized the importance of family environment for their children's growth. After more than half a year's intimacy and care for this "problem student", the students' learning attitude has gradually become serious, and their personality has become cheerful, not as withdrawn as before. After half a semester, his grades in all subjects have been greatly improved. In a word, improving the quality of primary school mathematics teaching for migrant workers' children needs the participation and dedication of teachers, and in addition, it needs the attention and improvement of family education. If the society, families and schools can really care for this special group, cultivate their math learning habits and improve their math application ability, the cultivation of these habits and abilities will also be their life wealth.
