Family education should be put in the first place: sex education should be a part of family education. Parents should enlighten their children on sex education as soon as possible, but the kindergarten stage should focus on cultivating children's morality and habits, and parents should take more responsibilities.
Premature sex education may have the opposite effect: if the sex education in kindergarten is improper or excessive, it may make children curious and misunderstand, leading to puppy love, sexual behavior and other bad behaviors.
Reasonable subdivision:
Preschool stage: In preschool stage, the focus of sex education should be health and self-protection. Parents can enlighten their children's sexual knowledge by teaching them small things in daily life such as bathing and changing clothes.
Primary school: Sex education in primary school should focus on normal human physiological structure and gender roles, educate children how to treat themselves and others' bodies correctly, and introduce basic knowledge such as the origin of life and birth process.
Junior and senior high schools: Sex education in junior and senior high schools should be more in-depth and specific. Besides explaining the basic contents such as physiological knowledge and contraceptive measures, it should also involve the knowledge of emotional communication, sexual psychology and sexual morality.
