Higher vocational education

Wuhan Engineering Vocational and Technical College was reorganized by Wuhan Iron and Steel Workers College and Wuhan Metallurgical Automation Senior Technical School with the approval of Hubei Provincial People's Government on April 18, 2006 under the background of vigorously developing higher vocational education and deepening WISCO system reform.

Five campuses

Wuhan Engineering Vocational College has five campuses, namely Honggangcheng Campus, Bai Yushan Campus, Jiangbei Campus, Fenghuangshan Campus and Tieshan Campus, which are located in Qingshan District of Jiangnan, Yangluo Development Zone of Jiangbei and Tieshan District of Huangshi.

Diversified management

Wuhan Engineering Vocational and Technical College is sponsored by Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Company, led by Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Company, and its business is managed by the Provincial Education Department.

Reorganization of three schools

In 2007, Hubei Huangshi Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical College merged with WISCO No.1 Technical School as a whole, and a new Wuhan Engineering Vocational and Technical College was established through the reorganization of the three schools.
