Generally speaking, Poseidon's influence on the wind and rain in Northeast China is weaker than that of No.9 typhoon Mesak, but stronger than that of No.8 typhoon Bavi. Considering that Poseidon is the third typhoon that has recently affected Northeast China, the superposition effect of disasters will be very obvious.

The reason why typhoon "loves" Northeast China
According to statistics, from 1949 to 20 19, the typhoon was obviously biased towards Guangdong, with a total of 189 typhoons landing in Guangdong, and typhoons frequently visited Taiwan Province, Fujian, Hainan and other places, but only a handful of typhoons landed in Northeast China.
Compared with typhoon landing, Northeast China is more vulnerable to "second-hand typhoon". On average, there are 1.2 typhoons affecting Northeast China every year. However, this year's typhoons seem to love the Northeast and have been heading north. There were "Bawei" and "Mesak" early, and then "Poseidon" came to join in the fun.
This year's typhoon was driven by large-scale circulation rather than liking the northeast.
The trend of typhoon will be influenced by subtropical high, westerly ridge, typhoon internal force (β effect), high-rise system, double typhoons and other factors, of which subtropical high is the most decisive. Previously, "Bawei" and "Mesak" were both guided by subtropical high, which brought strong wind and rain to Northeast China. Now Poseidon is going through a similar arrangement.
Typhoon Poseidon is expected to move into Jilin in the early morning of the 8th. Why does this year's typhoon "love" the Northeast?
