The relationship between education and human development
The relationship between education and human development, that is, on the one hand, education plays a leading role in human development; On the other hand, education must adapt to the laws of human physical and mental development.

The relationship between education and human development, education and social development is the basic problem of pedagogy, and it is also the fundamental driving force that runs through and leads the development and change of human educational activities. There are two basic contradictions in education, namely the relationship between education and human development and the relationship between education and social development. Among them, the relationship between education and human development determines the relationship between education and social development.

Generally speaking, people's physical and mental development can be investigated from two angles: one is from the origin, evolution and historical process of human development; The second is to examine from different stages of human development. Historical materialism mainly studies human development from the perspective of human historical process, while pedagogy mainly studies human development from the perspective of individuals.

Since ancient times, people have recognized that the content of individual development includes both physical and mental aspects. As early as in ancient Greece, Aristotle put forward that "the mind and the body can be divided into two parts, and the mind can be divided into two parts-rationality and irrationality, and the corresponding two situations-rationality and lust". This classification mode has continued until now.

Therefore, from the content of individual development, there is no doubt that individual development means individual physical and mental development, including both physical and psychological aspects. Among them, the development of the body refers to the growth, development, maturity and degeneration of various tissue systems and their functions, which is the development of human physiology. Psychological development mainly refers to feeling, perception, attention, memory and thinking.
